Chicken Chopsuey Recipe

Ingredients:

Prepare Sauce Mixture:
  • Water 1 & 1/2 cup
  • Soy sauce 3 tablespoon
  • Oyster  sauce 2 tablespoon 
  • Tomato ketchup 3 tablespoon 
  • Vinegar1 1 & 1/2 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil 1 table spoon
  • Salt 1/2 tablespoon  or to taste
  • White pepper  powder 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper powder   1/2 teaspoon
  • Sugar 1/2 tablespoon
  • Chicken powder 1 &1/2 tablespoon
  • Water 1/4 cup
  • Cornflour 1 &1/2  tablespoon
Prepare Chicken:
  • Boneless chicken stripes 350g
  • Black pepper powder 1/2 teaspoon
  • Sugar 1 teaspoon
  • Salt 1/4 teaspoon or to taste 
  • Garlic paste 1 teaspoon
  • Soy sauce 1 teaspoon
  • Corn flour 1/2 tablespoon
Prepare Chop suey Noodles:
  • Cooking oil 2-3 tablespoon
  • Spaghettis/Noodles Boiled as required
  • Cooking oil 3-4 tablespoon
  • Garlic chopped 1 & 1/2 tablespoon
  • Ginger chopped 1/2 tablespoon
  • Carrots julienne 1 medium 
  • Onion sliced 1 medium
  • Capsicum Julienne 1 medium 
  • Cabbage 1 cup 
  • Cooking oil 2-3 tablespoon
  • Egg 1
Assembling:
  • Black pepper crushed
  • Spring onion leaves chopped
Instructions:
Prepare Sauce Mixture:
  1. In a small jug add water, soy sauce, oyster sauce, tomato ketchup, vinegar, sesame oil, salt, white pepper powder, black pepper powder, sugar, chicken powder, whisk until well combined then set aside.
  2. In a small bowl add water, cornflour & whisk well, then set aside.
Prepare Chicken:
  • In a bowl add  boneless chicken, black pepper powder, sugar, salt, garlic paste, soy sauce, cornflour & mix well, cover & then marinate  for 15 minutes.
Prepare Chopsuey Noodles:
  1. In a wok heat cooking oil.
  2. Add boiled spaghettis, spread & set  according to serving shape. Cook on low flame until golden brown & crispy,   then flip it & cook on low flame from other side, then set a side.
  3. In a wok add cooking oil. garlic & mix well.
  4. Add  ginger. mix well &   saute  for a minute.
  5. Add marinated chicken mix well & cook on medium  flame for 6-8 minutes or until chicken done.
  6. Add carrots, onion .capsicum, cabbage, mix well & cook for 2 minutes.
  7. Add prepared sauce mixture, mix well & cook 2-3 minutes.
  8. Add dissolved cornflour, mix well until thickens then set aside.
  9. In a frying pan add cooking oil, egg and fry on medium flame until cooked, take out & set aside.
Assembling:
  • In a serving bowl, add fried noodles, prepared vegetables with gravy & fried egg. Sprinkle black pepper crushed & spring onion on top & serve!
