Shahi Daal Mash Recipe
Ingredients:
- Black lentil skinless (mash dal) 2 cup
- Water (for soaking) as required
- Water (for boiling) as required
- Oil 1/4 cup
- Onion puree 1 cup
- Red chili powder 1 1/2 tablespoon
- Salt 1 tablespoon / to taste
- Oil 2-3 tablespoon
- Red button chili (dried)4-5
- Ginger (julienne)1/4 cup
- Garam masala powder 1 tablespoon
- Green chili 2-3
- In a bowl add dal mash and water soak for 30 minutes
- In a pot heat water and bring it to boil add soaked dal boil until 80% done
- In another pot heat oil and add onion puree cook for 4- 5 minutes add ginger garlic paste and cook for a minute
- Add tomatoes and cook until tomatoes get soft
- Add red chili powder turmeric powder cumin powder red chili flakes salt coriander powder and cook until oil separates
- Add chicken and cook until chicken is half done now add boiled dal and cook until its fully tender you shahi dal mash is ready
- In a pan heat oil and add red button chili ginger green chili and garam masala powder cook for a minute
- Pour the prepared tarka over dal mash and garnish with green coriander your Shahi dal mash is ready to serve
